My Sweet Girl

There are many times throughout my day when I fall so deeply in love with my sweet Emma. She will say certain things that sound so grown up - "oh Mom, dinner was delicious" and in the next instant say "Mommy, when I get to heaven do you think Jesus will want me to teach Him to play my Leapster?".

Precious.  Absolutely precious.

Emma will be 5 this year and I can hardly believe it.  My little girl is growing up and although I am extremely proud, I am a little sad.  Instinctively I have been cuddling with her more, giving her more hugs and smooches than usual, completely reveling in the fact that she still wants to hang out with her Mama.  She wants to be around me (she frequently says, "Mom, I want to sit with you and have company with you").  I love it.

She's still my sweet little girl.

I am savoring these years before she matures into a young lady.  I hope that she's never too cool to cuddle with me on the couch, even if it is for a moment.  They grow up so quickly.  *sigh*

Precious... savor every single moment possible. I do the same with my boys, because I know one day they are just going to be way too cool to be doing that stuff. Caleb may be the exception because he's sweet on girls already, lol.
